Conversation Heart Macarons

Galentine Party

When it comes to throwing parties, one of the biggest struggles is coming up with something to entertain guests with. Something that I try to do is come up with an option that is 1. Simple 2. Everyone can participate 3. Still allows for socializing . For our Galentine's Party we decided to focus the party around each of the guests decorating heart shaped macarons to resemble the iconic candy conversation hearts. We also had the table decorated with supplies (string, tags, calligraphy pens & more) and boxes fit to hold the macarons so that each guest had the option to box up their macarons and wrap it up in a pretty box to give to their Valentine. It was truly a sweet time and all done while sipping on mimosas.

Expert Tip: Provide extra macarons for guests to enjoy!

If you want to throw your own Conversation Heart Macaron Party here's some advice-

  1. Unless you are a seasoned baker, it might be a good idea to delegate the macaron baking to a professional. Even my baker friends say these scrumptious babies are a challenge. If you are local to Jacksonville, I highly recommend Alley Cakes Bakery or Amanda Gibson. Their macarons have never let me down and they are hands down my very favorite treat. Don't forget to get them Heart shaped!
  2. For writing on the macarons you will just need a decent quality paint brush & some edible gold lustre dust to create your "ink".
  3. Dress your table up so that it's festive and fun to sit around since this is where you'll spend a bulk of your time at the party. If you decide to include the gift boxes with your macaron making- just lay down a fun paper runner & use your craft supplies to decorate!
